BOLT FARM TREEHOUSE - XL DOME REVIEW
We decided to take a last minute trip to visit one of our bucket list locations: Bolt Farm Treehouse! They now have domes located right outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee and we couldn’t wait to visit! This was Noah’s first ever adventure!

Was it family friendly? I give it a 4 out of 5 stars for family friendliness!

Pros:
Those views. 😍 I’ve lived in Tennessee all of my life and this was the first time I went somewhere and felt like I was in another country. It was magic.
One of my top 5 shower experiences, it was awesome! I’m a water pressure snob - I can’t handle it too soft that I can’t get shampoo out of my hair OR too hard that it rips a nip. This was just right!
Everything was eco friendly + natural (shampoo, soap, towels,etc…)
The mattress was super comfy!
The amenities were perfect, and we especially loved the pizza oven!
A treasure chest full of games for the kiddos… loved that!
Amazing hosts that take care of you.
A very unique, one-of-a-kind adventure that we strive to experience with the kids!
Cons:
I wish the bathroom had doors. Totally ok if just couples but with kids… 😅
Our AC unit didn’t work properly. 🥵 It made the dome a human greenhouse. At one point it got to 92, but the hosts handled everything well! They let us turn the hot tub to a pool tub. 💦
I would say it’s family friendly, IF you are on high alert. You’re literally on a cliff (which we knew about when booking) so we brought a baby gate to keep our toddler safe on the porch. The inside was pretty family friendly once we put up the valuable type decor that was setting out. I would say it’s perfect for ages 10 and up or even more perfect as a couples/girlfriends type trip.
You’re about 1 hour from Chattanooga so plan accordingly if you are wanting to find kid friendly things to do in the area.
These domes are brand new and as of 7/28/21 there is still a lot of construction going on. They are building more domes there as I type this. I feel as though there are still some kinks they are working out (like our AC unit). I’m sure later in the year things will be perfect!
Would we go back? Absolutely! Overall we had a great time (other than the heat issue)! We will go back one day, but probably as a couples trip.
