NAVARRE FLORIDA TIPS & TRICKS
Y’ALL! See that pic up there of us?! I was pregnant and had NO CLUE!! Ha! Cracks me up to think about. Anyway, our family has been going on vacation to Navarre since 2016. It’s known as Florida’s “most relaxing place” and I definitely agree. I would also call it Florida’s most “not crowded” beach! The sand is white, the ocean is blue, and it’s the perfect vacation spot to get away from it all. People always ask me details about our favorite vacation spot, SO…
Here’s exactly what I tell people that ask me about it:
WHERE TO STAY:
Our top two favorite places to stay are:
Caribbean Resort - We like this resort because the rooms are gorgeous with huge glass doors and windows to maximize views. It has a ramp that’s convenient for getting luggage and groceries in and out (it’s the little things while on vacation y’all). It has a huge pool, hot tub, and kid pool. The views from this condo are pictured below.
Navarre Towers - We like this resort because the bottom floor condos are so nice and walk right out to the beach! Super convenient! The pool is also heated during certain months.
We always book through the site Beach Rentals of Navarre. Sometimes we can speak to owner directly and find cheaper dates through this site.
FOOD (my love language):
Scooters Fish House - THE BEST! We got this to-go almost every night last time we went. Get the Amberjack if it’s in season and try all the yummy veggies (the okra and potato salad is my fav).
Shark Bite - call ahead to order and pickup. It’s a food truck. We love getting breakfast burritos from here!
Dewey Destins (right beside shark bite)
Juana's grille
Tc's front porch - LOVE this spot for breakfast
The Slippery Mermaid Sushi Bar - The best Sushi! I love the psycho mermaid, fiesta mermaid, and sexy mermaid.
Samurai Hibachi
Seafood market - to pick up your own fresh seafood and take home. They will steam crab legs, shrimp, etc… for you there.
Cactus Flower Cafe - a GREAT local Mexican place. Get there right when they open!
Tommy’s SnoBalls for dessert! The best balls in town.
THINGS TO DO / OTHER TIPS:
The Navarre Beach Fishing Pier is a must! It’s the longest fishing pier in the gulf, and sea turtles love to visit! :)
You’ll be near an air force base so don’t be alarmed if you hear loud noise / see some pretty cool fly overs while on the beach! :)
Go to Sage Rentals and rent some scooter cars (see above photo of us in ours!). They are so fun!!!
Visit the national seashore! It’s untouched and gorgeous!! We always do our family pics there.
Navarre is pretty flat with maybe only one red-light along the coastal part, so renting a bicycle is fun too!
Island Style is our favorite place for souvenirs / things we might have forgotten like goggles, snorkeling gear, etc…
The closest Walmart is about 15 minutes away, but there is a Winn-Dixie right across the bridge. We stock up on groceries there.
We love stopping at the markets, antique stores, and boutiques that we come across. Last year we stumbled across a farmers market with live music and it was fun! Saltwater Cottage is my favorite.
I have heard the zoo is amazing, but we haven’t been yet.
Honestly if you’re looking for a lot to do, then this beach isn’t it. That’s why we LOVE it. It’s a small town feel, and we go to relax and NOT “go go go”. That’s what keeps it not crowded. If you want busy, then drive the hour either direction to Pensacola or Destin. ;)
I hope this post helps you have a great trip! If you go to any new places while visiting that you love, please share them with me!
