Old soul. Homebody. Dreamer. Butterfly chaser. Jesus Follower. Dolly lover. Traveler. Donut eater.
I was born and raised in Tennessee, and I’m proud to call these mountains my home.
In 2009 I married the love of my life, Casey. We first met at Cracker Barrel when I was 16. He was my waiter, and I was smitten with the man serving me biscuits. We dated a while, broke up, went our seperate ways, and years later we reconnected on MySpace (who remembers Myspace?!). All of these years later, and I’m still smitten with the man that cooks me biscuits. It’s the little things y’all.
In 2011, we made plans. Adoption had been something we discussed while dating, and we knew wanted to do it one day. We planned to adopt after we gave birth to a child first. Little did we know the journey that God had written for us. To read our entire story, and a HUGE miracle that we never saw coming, be sure to check out this post.
Several years and lots of prayers later, we traveled all the way to China to adopt our beautiful daughter. Four years after that, we were suprisingly blessed with another daughter that we adopted. Our girls are perfect, smart, hilarious, joyful, and so much more. I always say that Casey is my laughter, and my girls are my light. Adoption is beautiful, and I’m here to chat with you if you have any questions.
My favorite organization, and one that supported our adoption with a grant, is called ShowHope. If you are looking for an organization that truly gives back and helps families adopt, then please check them out and donate!
We live on 35ish acres in a small town in Tennessee. We enjoy the simple life. We also love to travel as much as we can. We have several chickens and two dog sisters named Pat & Pearl.
Thanks for being here friends. It means more than you know.
